Isn't the originator of the thread THE clue?

Wow!  Looks amazing.  Personally I'd like to know the routing, it's hard for me to find the tees on some holes.  Lots of great angles of play!

What do you see when looking from above? -- not that it is the first time you have.

Corey
There are no tees here or there are tees everywhere - depending on your perspective.

Start at the big house in the middle and head NE to the first green.
Then put a peg in the ground next to the green and head East to the 2nd (horseshoe) green.

Cheers

Mike,

From an aerial perspective I continue to notice how much better I think #1 plays the further you go towards #9 fairway.  Like a bottle hole almost.

Also, a few bunkers stand out as being particularly well positioned from the air, the "fairway" bunker on #8, the fairway bunkers on #9, spectacles on #17.

I also think the trees on the creek on #18 need to come out to make the right side more attractive to hit down.

The coolest thing about Wolf Point is that it's pretty much all short grass.  You can hit it wherever you feel is the best line for that day's pin, wind, etc.

Actually, I think those trees sort of force you to make the right play!   The green sets up much, much better from a tee shot over the bridge.  But agreed it would be good to be able to make the decision.

So I'm looking at the aerial and trying to figure out the routing.  I'm guessing 8 green is a double green with 18?

The view from above (left) the bunkers on 1 is so much better than below.
There are some pretty good tees for #1 close to the 18th fairway.
Those are good bunkers too.

Kalen
8 & 18 are indeed a big green.
I did come up with over a dozen ways to play all 18 with the house as a starting point.

Its an interesting layout.  Initially I thought what I think is #9, to be #1, which would have meant #8 was the 9th hole, hence returning 9s.

Looks like one could play some interesting "cross country golf there".  Perhaps tee off on 17 tee and end up at 3 green!

You can start where ever you like...
17 to 3 would be a hole for sure.
Don is much more familiar with cross country golf there - he's done it a bunch
I was always partial to starting from the 12th tee at dusk and seeing how far I could get.
the view from 12 tee to the 3rd green is one of the coolest I've seen on a golf course - it looks like one big rumpled gigantic hole.

Thank you Jim I guess I should have.

Sam I'd be careful if I were you... especially since I've asked you out there before.
As you've learned getting an invitation and playing are 2 separate big hurdles.

I wish I could have a huge friggen GCA outting there - east vs. west.
It would be a most fun weekend for sure.
The South Texas BBQ would be crazy.
Pete would come brew beer ahead of time too...

Cheers
