Carl - Carolina Country Club was not a course I was expecting to hear, but that is the beauty of the question, everyone is coming from a different perspective and when you find a course you love you know it and every other one plays second fiddle.

Matt, just to be clear  :).  It's Carolina Golf Club, not Carolina Country Club.  :)  We're just a small golf club (w/swimming pool because we're in "the south"). :)

Carl,

The course looks exceptional!  You should be proud

My apologies Carl, a typo, I did look up Carolina Golf Club originally and it does look top notch.  Hard to fault anyone for their favorite course being designed by Donald Ross.

Having never played Cypress, Merion East gets the nod from me. I simply cannot imagine ever becoming bored with that golf course.

Ryan and Jon, welcome fellow newbies...

Pebble vs. Pacific is a fun debate to have...

A lot of love for Merion East on here.  It looked amazing at the Open and held up so well against those guys.  Great shot variety, it must be a blast to play.
