Thanks for this excellent photo essay of this lovely Devereux Emmet course. It looks like most of the original green surfaces and surrounds are still intact. Is that true? You nicely captured Mohawk's nuanced ground features. Emmet could design great holes on rollercoaster terrain. But he was especially good at creating varied groups of subtle, yet very fun to play holes, on " quieter" land. Mohawk seems to have strategy based on angles,subtle doglegs and fabulous green complexes. I have heard that the 27 holes created by Emmet at Edison GC, 8 miles north in Rexford,NY are nice too. I look forward to seeing more of the back nine at Mohawk ! Ron, very nice photos.
