Rihc's idea sounds like what Miller has at his Eagle ridge/valley? in Gilroy ca.

Adam:  what hole at Eagle Ridge?  I've played there many times... nothing comes to mind close to what Rich describes...

There's a short par 4 at Coyote Creek - Valley course (south San Jose - Nicklaus group design) that has a green that sort of meets this description....
