Sheep Ranch, hands down.

Is that a course or a game you play???

Ken,

See Brent's post #43.  One of the best experiences I've had on a golf course.

Ballyneal.

North Berwick was not the most fun, but it may have been the most magical.

My wife and I golfed Rustic Canyon on Tuesday with David Moriarty and Lynn Shackelford.
Simply put, a lot of fun. Great weather, great course.

My horizons are fairly limited, but it's gotta be Brora.

What made it great was a few days later when the Head Greenkeeper at TOC found out my friend Larry didn't like it, he turned to him and simply said, "Heathen."

I'm pretty sure Larry still thinks I put him up to it.

Tough one.  Thought very hard about Balcomie, Kington or Deal but, for me, in the end, the answer is always Elie.
In July I will be riding two stages of this year's Tour de France route for charity, including Mont Ventoux for the William Wates Memorial Trust (https://rideleloop.org/the-charity/) which supports underprivileged young people.

ST ENODOC by a fair distance.

Top Honourable mentions: Cavendish & Lakewood Shores

Others to seriously consider: Lahinch, Kington, Woking, Enniscrone and UofM

Fun to me is being on a quirky type of property, seeing more unusual holes, and hitting shots you almost never get to hit... a lot of creativity is required.. I like the thoughts on Tobacco Road and Yeamans, but the biggest hoot I've had in a long time was when I played White Bear Yacht Club.... had a ball.

Barnbougle Dunes.

So many thrilling shots, a huge array of options on almost every shot (especially around the greens) and the ball moves more on the ground than on any other course I have played.

Doesn't strike me as somewhere you could get too beat up, either, provided you know your limitations.

George,

This was my attempt at humor.  The combination of "Sheep Ranch" and "hands down" was too hard to pass up.....

Pac Dunes, barely edging out Kapalua Plantation.

Gosh, several "favorites".

Whispering Pines with the most underappreciated head pro in the world and a fantastic gangsome.

Wild Horse with the irascible Dick Daley, the Miller brothers, and the many Nebraskans we met- easily among the nicest people anywhere.

Sand Hills with Dr. Gene and Tom Huckaby, Dick and the lefty brothers Cirba and Childs.

But, very close to my heart, my favorite, is that little place on the Point with Sir Huntley.  Actually, any place with Bob is my favorite, even the halfway house on Dunes.
