I saw that my friend Ryan Kelly made his first post this morning, so I figured I'd give him a quick shout-out.  Ryan is a car dealer, a good player and a member at Olympia Fields in suburban Chicago.  He's been lurking here for quite awhile and decided to take a whack at getting whacked on this site.  Welcome!

Welcome, Ryan.

You don't need any advice from me, but here it is anyway -- fire away freely, say whatever you want about any subject that strikes your fancy; BUT, be as quiet as a church mouse when it comes to Chicago-area courses!  The loudest, most persistent and most obstreperous know-it-alls and homers on this entire site are all from Chicago!.  I often find myself blushing when I read their posts....

Ryan, a couple of other Chicago-related thoughts....

Avoid use of the "cheater line" at all times.

But it's okay to use the long putter anchored to your body.
