I dont think people here know more than the architects but they possibly know more than many developers. I often feel that architects must unfairly wear the blame for decisions and constraints placed on them by the client. In an ideal world, said architect would turn down work based on these conditions applied to them and choose a project more in line with their views. Unfortunately, with so many people out of work, those offered projects right now are not placed to take the moral high ground and refuse work based on their ideals.

Most players I know would freely admit the wouldnt know the first thing about designing a course. That same group, however, would all hold very strong views on how golf courses should be maintained and feel they know better.

Jeff,

Thanks for the reply.  It's good to be C&C.
