Penina Photo Portrait

So,
just returned from another lovely trip to Portugal's delightful Algarve region. Splashed out this time for a week in Penina - Sir Henry Cotton's retirement project and fitting epitaph. I know very little of Sir Henry's design philosophy but the evidence seems to point in obvious directions. Greensites VERY Ross-like, false-fronted runups and very subtly contoured. Bunkering quite strategic with water hazards really the only penal elements. Conditioning was really excellent.

Weather on arrival - HAILSTONES:

cheers,
FBD.
The White River runs dark through the heart of the Town,
Washed the people coal-black from the hole in the ground.

Thanks Marty.  Brings back great memories.  I played there a bit with my dad when I was about 10 or 11, more than 30 years ago!
