paul, weren't there at least a couple other architects with DLIII's firm that post(ed) on here?

I believe there are a good number of overseas guys missing from the list.

Tony Ristola.

T. Kemp, who works for the very busy John Colligan, ASGCA, posts here occasionally.

I am fairly sure that Ben Crenshaw lurks at least on occasion, though he has said he wouldn't opine on other gca's work in public (based too much on opinion and preference; too controversial).  Many others, I'm sure, do as well.

A good question might be how many have been influenced in any signifcant way by what they're gleaned from this site.

John, the only reason I left them off is because I did not know whether or not you are serious. While you have no trouble reading my mind, I struggle to read your actual words. And I am thankful for that.

You'll note that I also left off Jerry Lemons because I can't tell if Eric & Co are serious either.

p.s. I didn't ask JC to list me on this thread, so I wanted to clear that up before Scott added me to his list. I did make light of it with a Seinfeld reference, my apologies for confusing you when compiling your list.

Wow -- there's enough architects on here for them to form a splinter group, a kind of "USFL" but much more viable and interesting and certainly not populated by second-stringers who couldn't cut it in the big leagues (aka gca.com).  Strangely, though, I don't think they'd have as much fun out there on their own as they do here -- sure, there'd by no plethora of uninformed opinion and little fawning or unwarranted criticism...but how many "ah, this business/client sucks" and "wait a minute, I think I got a job...maybe" threads can you have... :D

Now John....that has never been the case....I just never wanted any group to subtlely represent itself as the sanctioning body for golf architects....or to be receiving contributions from vendors that aids them in promoting such a group over others....that's all....otherwise I would rather be rogue....

I am not sure I understand the purpose of this thread.  I appreciate when designers participate just as I do when shapers, owners, developers, etc. participate, but I don't understand the point of such lists.  I assure you they all know who they are, and some of them may not want to bring attention to themselves in the form of a list.  If they do, then they can put it in their signature or otherwise bring it up when they post.    Plus, there is a big difference between those who actually participate and those who just show up here to shill for their latest project then disappear.  And some on the list who used to participate haven't posted in years!

But perhaps I don't understand?   What is the point of this list, if any?

Another question,

When an architect passes away, is it proper to list him as "NLE?"   That'd be great on a tombstone.
