« on: March 08, 2011, 03:21:49 PM »
the first, an American Golfer publication - the past books from them have been outstanding - "Herbert Warren Wind on the Masters" - containing all his New Yorker writings on that event

2. The 1986 Masters, how Jack Nicklaus roared back to win, by John Boyette (hard to believe that was 25 years ago!)

3. Golf's Finest Par Threes - by Micahel Bartlett with Pics by Tony Roberts - 100 holes are described

Thanks, Paul.

I've been wondering why no one had written this book. Were I able to, this the golf book I would have written!

Too bad Mark Frost didn't write it, we could've learned all sorts of new things... :)

George - a couple of interesting tidbits that Jack brought up during a recent interview:

his mom was as that event, her first appearance at Augusta since 1959!

and it was the first time his sister ever went!

it WAS the 50th playing of the tournament, so maybe fate said i'd better make this year's tournament something really special...

Golf's Finest Par Threes is a very good book , and Its worth it for the photos alone. Michael Bartlett did a great job with the descriptions as well. I ordered Mr Winds book as well, although I think it is delayed in being released.
