While I am not sure it is the worst logo, at SOuthampton Golf CLub, our logo is a windmill. The problem is that we have no windmill, and NGLA does. It has always seemed funny to me.

I like the Fishers Island logo. Simple yet unmistakeable. It seems some form of the indian or indian head is in more logos than any other.

I've said before and I'll say again.  Within a hundred yards of each other you've got the awesome Tufted Puffin at Bandon Dunes.  Followed oddly by the two seals in the ritual mating arc at Pac Dunes.  I have always found the juxtaposition odd.

Didn't we have this thread in the past?  Didn't a majority agree that the simpler, the better? That seemed to be the consensus among people who like simple golf courses.

It stands to reason that folks who like waterfalls and other garish, baroque symbols on their courses, that they would also like them on their shirts, caps and britches.

I'm somewhere on the fence.

Ron-When it comes to shirt logos I like them better on the sleeve, garish or not. ;)

This will be one of my favorite threads of the year...
"Whether my schedule for the next day called for a tournament round or a trip to the practice tee, the prospect that there was going to be golf in it made me feel priviledged and extremely happy, and I couldn't wait for the sun to come up the next morning so that I could get on the course"-BH

I don't dislike the Double Eagle logo, but it looks like it should be on a pack of smokes.

Doak has been ill-served by the logos on his courses Down Under.  Cape Kidnappers, St. Andrews Beach and Barnbougle Dunes are pretty terrible.

Its amazing how many of the logos posted in this thread I have seen Mayhugh wearing!

The Olympic Club, Rye, RCP, Fishers Island are my favourites.

Barnbougle Dunes and Lost Farm are pretty bad.

John K: Which of the two NSWGC logos are you referring to?

This (official club logo, used for pennant shirts etc):

Or this (NSW Coat of Arms, which is also used for some club merchandise):

The St. Andrews Beach logo could be the worst.

Never cared all that much for this - just way too busy::

Not to mention it looks a lot like Herb Kohler himself (probably not a coincidence):

The Enniscrone one is awful. I refused to buy a shirt there because it was so bad.

I love Jim Colton's call of "I see the basic red flag and don't instantly think Dormie Club; I think front pin position." ;D

There is a clothing company that makes shirts that have a very similiar logo.  I can't recall what it is.  Can anyone assist on that?

Thanks Keith.

The guy who runs compliance for my firm came into the office one day with one of these shirts on and I was taken aback (as he doesn't golf) that he had a Maidstone shirt on.

Funny.
