Pinehurst Reminiscences
« on: March 20, 2011, 01:37:00 PM »
As Ran posted on March 5, our family has ties to Pinehurst that go back over 100 years.  From his great-grandfather's being a lawyer for the Tufts Family, to his grandfather who grew up in the area and now Ran's living there after 5 years in Hong Kong and Australia the memories run very deep.  My most vivid memory of golf, however, is his hole-in-one on #9 on Pinehurst #2 when his two brothers swore that his tee shot had hit the flagstick and caroomed off the green (which they both thought and hoped).  What a great place for memories!

Ed, here's to you creating many new memories on #2.  What do you think of the restored course?

I spoke with a friend the other day who helped with the work and he says the course is now the way it should be.

Hello Mr. Morrissett
How can you be sure it went in, and didn't caroom off the green?   ;)
Enjoy your time on #2 and with your family.
Cheers
