Sort Of OT--The Caddyshack Quotes Thread
« on: March 12, 2011, 10:00:15 PM »
Tomorrow I'll be starting a new IMO discussion, which means it will be all serious architecture talk all the time.  For now, I think I need more of a change of pace:

As I play with more and more GCAers, I find the thing that we share, beyond a love of GCA, is a love for the greatest movie ever made, Caddyshack.  Therefore, I felt the need to a start an unofficial Caddyshack quotes thread.  Your honor, your honor!

"Don't play games with me, Ty! You put that steering wheel back where it belongs!"

Nice thread Mr. Lyon, but this is a serious golf course architectural site.  We don't discuss OT non-sense.  And for that,

No quotes but my dog's name is Noonan.  It makes the occasional need to call for his attention that much more enjoyable.

I was born, to lick your face.
I was born, to rub you.
But you were born to rub me first.

I named my cat Ty Webb. It works, but I should have named him Spaulding. He's much more attuned to that character.

Matthew,

I would say most cats resemble Ty Webb and most dogs resemble Spaulding, but your cat seems to resemble Toonces.

What brings you to this nape of the...
....neck of the way...
....why are you here?

Lots of funny things in that scene.  I love it when he puts the bottle caps on and serves Lacy.  Also, his response "keep it" goes a long way to describe Ty Webb in just two words.
