Where is Greg Ramsay today?

Not sure if this video of Barnbougle has been posted before, and it made me curious if Greg was still in golf today:

Greg is trying to organize a couple of other seaside golf projects in Tasmania with a partner, in addition to pursuing various other entrepreneurial stuff.

Thanks for posting that link, Mike. It warms my heart every time I watch it.

Mike, George

I believe Greg also has his Ratho project as well - hickory golf on a very old course.

It is a small world - especially down here in Australia.  I haven't met Greg, but I am on a work-related committee (electricity distribution regulation) with Greg's sister.

I'm sure I was told while I was living in the UK that Greg is also involved in trying to start a distillery near Kingsbarns... Busy fella!

Tom D: I like the sound of more seaside golf projects in Tasmania!

Greg is involved in a distillery project in Kingsbarns (as Scott mentioned) and has done a distillery in an old mill at the Nant property in Bothwell, Tasmania. He is in the process of extending Ratho to 18 holes with us, also at Bothwell, and is involved in other golf projects in Tassie as well as some vineyards and subdivisions. Busier than a one-armed paper-hanger!

Neil, I am impressed, you know just as much about the guys that are alive as the guys that are dead
Ask not what GolfClubAtlas can do for you; ask what you can do for GolfClubAtlas.

Nice thing is that dead guys don't answer back!
I know a fair bit as to what Greg is up to as we do some work for him at Ratho and one or two other spots.

Thanks for all the updates, everyone. Reminds me that I should send Greg an email!

And if that wasn't enough to keep him busy - Greg is about to get married so he is probably either thinking about or actually on his bucks trip to the mornington peninsula around now.

He recently hosted the first ever professional event (pro am) at Ratho which is the oldest course in Australia (1822) still going around. A fun day, especailly listening to the pro im my group play a series or crap golf shots that were not thought out and then "bitch" about the "unfair" course. I thought it was a brilliant day out myself. Why weren't you there Neil - I notice Mr Mogford managed to make it.
