The seminal book on the architecture of William Flynn, "The Nature Faker", written by Wayne S. Morrison and Thomas E. Paul is now available on CD in lovely packaging.
It is incredibly extensive, coming in at over 2200 pages, and is jam-packed with incredible and rare architectural drawings, articles, pictures, and descriptive narrative.
For vital historical information on any one of Flynn's great courses alone, it's well worth the $75 price. However, when one considers the breadth and depth of information on courses from The Country Club to Shinnecock, from Cherry Hills to Cascasdes, from Kittansett to Boca Raton, and Merion to Lancaster, it is truly a special treat for the architectural buff.
Years in the making, and including those infamous "Board Minutes", "The Nature Faker" is an incredible accomplishment compiling a treasure trove of collected information in viable. easily search-able form.
