I must say, the course looks pretty claustrophobic on the fly-bys with all the trees. But I am really looking forward to this game.

Your statement is just another example that everything is relative.
Being from upstate NY, I'm used to playing some courses that are carved out of the trees. And not the Georgia Pine types, with thin trunks and high foliage. Thick maples or pine trees with limbs hanging much closer to the ground.
When we make out treks to Pinehurst, we always comment how open it feels (even in the trees), given the much higher chances of generating a recovery shot. I watched the flyover and thought it felt pretty open.
