Seaview Pines is originally a William Flynn and I believe is the better of the two courses at Seaview I have not played twisted Dune but hear it is fun.
Malcolm,
The Pines Course is closed, so the Bay Course was the only option. However, Pines looks very cool, and I would want to see it at a future date. The more I read, hear, and see, the more I am blown away by the volume of quality classic courses in Jersey.
JNC, Thanks for your help in making the times. The Pines has 9 holes that are Flynn, about 6 from the Gordons, and 3 (6-8) I have no idea about. I played it for the first time last year. The Flynn holes (1,2, 12-18) are good, the Gordon holes (3-5, 9-11) have their moments. All in all, my impression was it wasn't bad, but inconsistent. Giving it a little TLC and $ for renovation would be a good thing, IMO. There are some very good elevation changes in the land and good potential for a good golf course here.
There is a good, expansive practice area on site.
I feel that a more architecturally consistent and interesting, playable and memorable 18 in the Pines would provide visitors more of a reason to stay and play 2 rounds, or more, here, as opposed to choosing another area course if the Bay Course is not available.
I have a picture of Flynn's Pines nine (it was only 9, originally) with a liberal use of sand.
I am uncertain of Stockton's future plans regarding the golf courses.
