I too am a fan of FexEx'ing my clubs.

But no one has asked the obvious:  why not rent clubs?

It sounds like just a friendly game, and most clubs these days have very nice rentals.

Even though I'm 6'8 and have custom clubs, when I'm just playing 1 round on a trip, I always rent.  Not worth the hassle to bring them, and it's cheaper than shipping them.

And regarding the other topic, as a frequent flyer my main concern is seeing the intrusive pat down of our elderly. When I see an 85-year-old woman (who probably has multiple steel hips and/or knees) being made to stand up from her wheel chair and waddle through security to get further groped it incenses me.

My original post was contemplating renting but trying to carry on the couple of clubs (driver, SW) that are the most unique of my set.

Jason read about Nezar Hindawi, he tried to bring down a plane by planting a bomb on his unsuspecting 5 month pregnant Irish girlfriend. Sadly the terrorist doesn't tend to play by the rules which makes profiling so difficult.
