How to F-up Foxy
« on: January 24, 2011, 07:54:25 PM »

Just came across this distressing sequence from several years back.

Feet jussssssssst off:

Oh, no.  Oh, yes:

Try to find the ball:

It was blowing a little bit off the sea:

Ha!  I found the ball right away in the 3rd pic.  I'm quite used to that!
No actual golf rounds were ruined or delayed, nor golf rules broken, in the taking of any photographs that may be displayed by the above forum user.

Gee, that's very funny.  Nice job.  Very nice looking swing, there.  What went wrong?

In my three gos at Foxy I proved to myself that a shorter hitter must play this left as a 4.5 par and be happy with bogey and thrilled with par. Out there in Gary-land is the route to 6 or 7!

John, I'm no expert but that right knee looks locked in nearly to the point of hyper-extension!

After 100+ tries, I am still waiting for my 1st 4 at Foxy. Maybe this summer!

It does not take a terrible swing to go high at the Foxy.  I hit one of the best long iron shots of my life only to watch the ball land by the flag, bound and then roll over the left portion of the green and into the whispies!  I never found that ball.  Took 7.

What does it say about me that I love that hole?

David Tepper:

I'm also waiting for my first par on Foxy although I have made a 3!  The same is true of #8 at Pebble Beach - one birdie, no pars and it goes north from there.

I don't get it.

chipoat -

Unfortunately, I do get it:

1) it is a hard hole
2) I am not an especially good golfer

It is as simple as that!
