I have been to Bandon at least once a year every year since it opened in 1999, and went three times last year (January, June, and October).  For a first timer at Bandon, I would split 10 rounds as folllows:

Day 1:  Bandon Dunes and Pacific Dunes
Day 2:  Bandon Trails and Pacific Dunes
Day 3:  Old MacDonald and Bandon Dunes
Day 4:  Pacific Dunes and Old MacDonald
Day 5:  Bandon Trails and Pacific Dunes

Which adds up to:

4 PD
2 OM
2 BD
2 BT

Mark,

We're doing 7 rounds over 4 1/2 days (alternating 36 and 18 hole days):

3 OM
2 PD
1 BD
1 BT

primarily since we haven't played OM yet, and I'm pretty sure it'll be right up our alley.  also if possible it's best to try and do PD and BD early morning and leave OM and BT for the afternoon as the winds can get beyond 3 club territory on occasion on the water...

3 at Pac Dunes
3 at Old Mac
2 at Trails
2 at Ban Dunes

If I were to go back I would probably do 3 at Pac, 3 at Trails and 2 at Old Mac and Dunes.  I've only been out there once and only got to play Trails once when I was out there.  I really loved that course and am eager to play it again.

Mark,

If you're playing 8 rounds or more, my only advice is to see each course at least twice.

Have fun!

Mark,

I echo the sentiment of those "equal splitters."  Each course is fantastic in its own right, and I regretted playing BD only once out of 8 rounds last summer.  The great thing about the complex for me was that, with the exception of PD, the tee sheet was pretty open and we switched our tee times/courses daily based on group interest, weather, and wind.

Have a great trip!

They are all great IMO.  Can't wait to go back.
