KP 2011- How are you getting there?

I figured it would be a good idea to make a separate thread focused on coordinating efforts for travel. Whether it be by air or car, I think this thread will be useful for everyone.

I might as well go first: Driving from SoCal, looking to arrive Thurs. PM, hopefully in time for a round! Return time TBD. Anyone interested in carpooling can post here or PM me!

I will be driving down from Seattle to Bandon on Thursday and coming back late on Sunday. I can pickup folks from PDX if you need a ride. If anyone from Seattle or Vancouver want to carpool let me know.

Driving up from Bay Area on Thursday, need to be there in time for a Friday morning round at Pacific Dunes that I just booked myself into (three of you need to be made aware that I am capable of shanking any club, and I'm not joking).

I will probably try to head back to the Bay Area after the Sunday AM round, doubt I will be staying till Monday.

If anyone wants to catch a ride either way let me know, would love some company.  I've got a Subaru Outback, the official car of the East Bay, so there is room.

I am flying into North Bend airport Thurs through San Francisco.  Flight scheduled to arrive at 1:07pm.

Will then need transportation to Bandon.

I have a flight out of North Bend Sun at 7:52p...not sure that leaves enough time for a second round on Sun?

Leaving Portland early Friday morning, have plenty of room in the Ford Five Hundred, but must transport some pinot. Sunday after golf  only going as far as Eugene, then spend 2 days officiating university golf. Can take a rider.


For those of you going through Eugene Fiddlers Green (superstore) ( www.fiddlersgreen.com) hours are 8-8 for shopping. Couple miles  north of the airport on US99.

My plan is to drive from the Vancouver area, leaving Wednesday evening or Thursday morning and maybe get a game in the Portland area on Thursday afternoon before heading to the coast, likely early Friday morning.

Playing Monday morning and the driving to Eugene to meet wife and kid who are taking the train down from Vancouver so cannot offer rides Monday unless someone wanted to go to Eugene.

If you really want a ride from the Seattle area, note the posts from Choi and Leary. Sean is bang on re Choi's vehicle being able to hold a family, including the Brady Bunch, all in significant comfort including lots of English leather.

I'll be arriving Wed. night on the United flight that leaves SF at 5:30 and arrives in No. Bend at 7:20. If anybody else is on that flight let me know and I can arrange the shuttle for the group.

I'll be arriving in North Bend at 8:38am on Thursday March 17th (United Flight 6609 from Portland) and hope to use Connoisseurs to get me to the resort.

If anyone is flying into OTH on the same flight and wants to share transportation, let me know.

I'll be leaving the resort on Monday April 21st around 6pm, hopefully after a 36 hole day and will be flying out of OTH at 8:11pm.  Again, if anyone is leaving around the same time, let me know and we can share a ride.

EDITED (March 1, 2011) - I'm not flying in from San Francisco, as originally planned due to significantly higher costs.
