My one that got away happened in Chicago.  I was randomly paired with a member at Conway Farms. He was a very nice guy and we talked non stop through the whole round.  He was particularly impressed with my knowledge of Raynor/MacDonald and the fact that I had played Shoreacres that morning.  Towards the end of the round he mentioned that he was playing Chicago Golf Club the next day and would I like to join him.  I was flying home very early the next day and had to be at work the day after so I had to say no.

here i am feeling sorry for you guys when i just realized that...

i was golfing out east a few years back after talking to a friend who lived out there about it....i flew home Friday night...

Saturday I see that my cell phone has a voicemail...from that friend who said"Get out to Pine Valley, i'm got room for you in a group today"

still havent made it there....
