Fantasy Golf Tutorial

If you go to the page http://golf.fantasysports.yahoo.com/golf/group/3940 and click MY TEAM at the top, you will see a table with eight spots (2 A, 4 B and 2 C) for players. Below that, you will see a section titled PLAYER LIST with three tabs for A-List, B-List and C-List. Usually by Tuesday morning, YAHOO has updated the lists to reflect players entered in the week's tournament. Since this week is a winners-only event, the lists are briefer than with a full-field event.

You can use any two players each week from the A-List and C-List, and any four players each week from the B-List. To the left of each player's name is a + sign...click the + sign for each of the players that you want from the A-List and they will appear in the table above. Click the B-List tab and select 4 players by clicking the + sign next to their names. Finally, click the C-List tab and select 2 players by clicking the + sign next to their names.

Once you have done this, you should have all 8 spaces filled for your team. Now you muest decide which players you want for round one. If the player is already in the MY FOURSOME column, great. If he is in the MY BENCH column, you must click-hold-drag him into the MY FOURSOME column. Once you have your foursome, click SAVE ROSTER to the right. You may change the roster up to 5 a.m. of the day of the round.

IMPORTANT: you may manipulate your 8 players throughout the tournament. If one of your guys withdraws or gets disqualified, that is digital rub of the green. It will happen to all of us this season, so bear it well.

REALLY IMPORTANT: You goal is to get at least 1 A, 2 B and 1 C player to the weekend. If a player misses the cut, he cannot earn points for you on the weekend. Check your results each evening after each round and make strategic decisions accordingly.
