I put as much thought in my post as they did this list except more people cared about my opinion by at least one.

I think it is pretty impressive that We-ko-pa has two of the top 10 on the list.

If you published a 'Best Casino' with a golf course list, I imagine the gaming at this place would wind up Waaaaayyyyyyyy down the list.  I'm admittedly biased since the blackjack dealer completely ripped me a new one in 15 minutes flat and I couldn't find a craps table.

Pretty solid list frankly.  This could be one of the few areas of domestic GCA growth in the coming years as due to many state's budgets being in complete disarray you're likely to see a casino coming to a town near you....

Wouldn't any course in Nevada be a defacto casino course?

AS in AZ can certainly be higher -- even if the turf isn't up to the highest of standards.

I've played a good share of the ones listed -- AS should at least be in the top 25.

I've never visited Bandon without going to the Casino in Coos Bay and short of an intervention never will.

#44 - ouch!   I've played 6 0r 7 of the casino courses, Apache Stronghold is the best golf course to me, conditioning problems really cost it dearly.

The four in Central-West NY (Seneca Hickory Stick and the triad at Turning Stone) are all unique and challenging.  If Jay F. reads this, he'll certainly weigh in with the many ways I'm wrong about TS.

i would rather play a grass-less AS than Cascata in perfect condition....... Cascata is rated that high because of the clubhouse wow factor and the treatement by the staff....the golf course is average at best....and dont even get me started on Rio Secco....that course is horrendous with a capital Horr........

The detail work, alone, Mr. Fazio does, is vastly superior to the works you are comparing it to. If you can not see that, than I ask you...

You can ridicule all you want. When you speak about TF -- how many of his courses have you personally played?

Its so funny because when other superior TF courses -- beyond Shadow Creek are discussed -- for some reason you are conveniently silent. Why is that ? Look, I've admitted I have not seen what is there now and maybe it does offer something beyond what was originally created. Is the course worthy of superstardom fanfare? In your mind, it is -- not mine. If I should ever play it again in the future I'll keep an open mind but for me the bar for elite courses is quite high.

Shadow Creek is a course that gets mileage out of how it was created -- the actual work from a design standpoint is not cutting edge stuff. Check out Bayonne if you want to find something that is clearly imaginative and certainly above and beyond in the "create something from nothing" dimension. Frankly Adam, I can ask you the same question -- "what are you looking at?"

Wow!  4 of the top 32 are in Indiana.  The only other one outside of the state I've seen is Cherokee Hills.  As for comments, I have only walked the Dye Course at French Lick late in construction, but that course is not better than the Ross Course.  But I guess that is the power of marketeers and a high price tag.  Also, if Chariot Run is #32 then Belterra should easily be a top 20 and Cherokee Hills should be much higher as well.  But that is only if Chariot Run is really the 32nd best casino course in the country.

I'm looking at clever contouring. At bunkering that is non uniform in nature. At greens that provide the elasticity of pin positions that u are always criticizing other courses for not having. I'm looking at a subtle not over thge top design that makes sc a strong course. Not super stardom just solid. Btw. I'm quiet because I haven't done the heavy lifting and have only seen a small percentage of TF's stuff. Victoria National being the most notable. Btw I see little difference in the degree of quality. Both are very good courses.

I have played the Ross Course my entire golfing life and the Dye Course four times this year.  In the category of Best Casino Course the Dye Course wins going away.  If my friends and I are looking for some great golf and a quick bet we will play Sultan's Run.
