That's a hell of a picture, Kyle.

Thanks, mate.

That shot is of Clear Creek Tahoe's 17th hole and was taken with a little Sony point and shoot during a casual round with the venerable Sir Herreid.

Kyle,

Definitely agree with Scott.  Fine pic.

Was the vantage point there an actual tee?  I don't recal a back tee from that kind of angle.  Just curious.

Peter and I were playing from up top, but I scootched down to one of the forward tees to get the boulders in the right front corner of the shot.

I took this picture today, and figured they wouldn't appreciate it much in the wintry photos thread  :). It was 80 today.

I don't normally take photos but visibility was over 80 miles today! Not surprising this is the most played course in the country with beauty like this.

Could not resist another dig at the Aussies - this is their cricket captain in the wilds of Stoke Poges during a break from the Ashes last year. One can understand the situation Punter is in at the moment  ;D Great pic though!

Dan Moore took this one of me on the 7th at Deal.  It was one of the days that doesn't get much better for golf.  As I remember I striped this one too.

I'm changing the title of the thread to "Pictures of the Year" - these are too good to single out one as the best.

Ally Matheson -

Nice pic. Am I correct that it is Cruden Bay, around the 13th/14th holes?

I  thought about posting this pic before, but didn't do so because it doesn't contain much more than myself, but after being (indirectly  ;) ) asked to pst it, here goes my entry...

As far as I can tell, I only took one golf related picture this year.

A friend of mine withdrew from a tournament in the town where his in-laws live.  He was a division 1 college player and had at one time broken 70 in this tournament.  We found a last minute replacement but decided to have the replacement play under the original name - primarily so we could send this photo to him.

. . . .  He missed the cut.

Yes, that is the par 3 15th at St. George's.  Looks much like the GW cover photo a few weeks back, eh?

Here's some more fog on #4 tee at Pacific.  I give our group credit as we didn't lose a ball for the entire round.
