Thanks Jack. The more I read about Carne, the more inspired I am to finally make a trek to the Emerald Isle!

Brian,

Some great photos! I've not played Pitlochry so I didn't recognise it, but I did guess it might have been Killin which isn't too far from there...

All these great pictures: If we get some fresh snow over the holidays I may be tempted to journey to a couple of my favourite courses in the area, camera in hand!

Cheers,

James

Not that much  ;)

A daily look through FlickR, throws up many gems, and a polite request to link here, makes for an interesting thread.

Not quite as dramatic as Brian's photos, it finally started snowing in northeast Kansas this morning.  The golf connection to this wintry pic is that this part of the backyard is where me, my 5 and 3 year olds hit chip shots and occasionally fire range balls into the empty field over the berm.

You'd have to be certifiable to go out and play in pre-blizzard conditions at Cobb's Creek today, right?!

Joe, Mike and Co.,

Happy Holidays! You sadists just made my day! Hope the New York trip for research goes well. I'd love to spend time watching and learning, while the masters are at work, the next time I can find the opportunity to hook up with you.

Cheers and thanks for all your stout and interesting photo posts this year! 8)

Took this photo about two hours ago at my condo in Pinehurst where we are staying because we lost power in our house! 6 inches of snow in North Carolina!

Tony,

The rough looks a little brown.  Pretty tough.

Others,

Not really cold, but plenty of snow on Dec 26th, just west of  Appalachians, Knoxville Tennessee,  at  Holston Hills

We're sending our best snow over the mountains and up the east coast USA.   No thanks necessary.

Is that an authentic moose, based upon the original from Scotland, or simply a moose-inspired moose?

 ;)  ;D
