Golf Raffle
« on: September 08, 2011, 08:28:58 AM »
Hello All:

It is again time for our tuf research fund raffle and I look forward to the excellent support from this group in previous years.  I truly appreciate the support from you all and want to say a special thanks to those that have become annual participants.  Also, special thanks goes out to Sally Livingston at Reunion for her contributions as well as Mark Stoval at Lookout Mountain, both GCA members.

The drawing will be held on Oct. 11 at The Country Club in Brookline and the prizes are excellent.

Thanks for the reminder Steve. U Mass will probably come up with a turf grass that can live without water before I win a round of golf in the raffle; but hey, I'm good with that!  :D

Thanks Mike.  And Pete, they are working on the grass, but "no water" is a stretch.

Got my raffle stubs from Sharon in the mail.  This is a great raffle and an even better cause.  Call Sharon directly 508.758.6474 and she will take the info over the phone.

Great dinner and even better hosted bar after the TAG round at The Country Club. If I remember the picture show correctlyand completely unofficially Mr Peter Lavalllee will get to golf at Amherst CC and Mr Dean Paolucci struck twice on tree/geographic courses - Hickory ??? and Pine Hollow. Keep an eye on your mailbox.

Indeed, after years of faithful participation this U Mass alumnist was rewarded with a foursome at Amherst CC. built in 1900 by Warren Hatch. Sounds like a western Mass. swing is in order for next fall!

Thanks again to Steve Curry for bringing this most worthy cause to our attention. Steve, now that I've finally won, I expect U Mass to come up with that grass that needs no water!  ;D
