Thanks Jeremy.  Picture 1 also has the 3rd tee and fairway (to the left).  The sort of routing that probably could not be done in this litigious age, alas......  The second one has a good view of the 16th tee, in the background.  The third one has a very good view (to the right) of the sharp rise in the middle of the 16th fairway.

To my eyes, there's nothing finer than snow at seaside.

Unless it's snow at seaside covering a great golf course.

Just to let you all know, snow on Dorncoh, stunning as the pictures of it may be, is a rare occasion.  I have played in shirt sleeves on New Year's day.  The Pro's Thursday Stableford goes on like clockwork at noon from October through April.  There are benefits to global warming......
