Most welcoming architectural course
« on: November 07, 2010, 12:20:51 PM »
There are so many courses on this site which demand our attention because of their outstanding design. Which will welcome me because I am a  green-fee-paying visitor? Which will welcome me because I happen to write about the subject? Which will welcome me because they feel they have something special to say about their architecture?

If you are referring to golf then you must be talking about courses like Machrie (http://www.machrie.com/machrie-golf-links.html),  Askernish (http://www.askernishgolfclub.com/), perhaps Prestwick (http://www.prestwickgc.co.uk/) and a few more besides

The real design had already been created, it was the hard work to keep Nature and the Natural as it was adjusted to accommodate the game of Golf with minimal disruption to the beauty of the land & environment

PS Each still have a few good tales to tell
