Gunga galunga....I think I will have that going for me....
« on: October 16, 2010, 07:47:36 PM »
Well...looks like Tuesday I will get to have lunch with the Dalai Lama and then attend his lecture on "the Creative Journey"....I will not be looping for him so no chance of getting stiffed but I do think I will receive total consciousness..so I will have that going for me.....

Mike,
You should get along well with the Dalai Lama, he believes in rein-tarnation.  ;D

Mike Young,

So how is total consciousness? How does one address and greet the Lama? Any Buddhist insights from the Lama that you or Tiger (the greatest Buddhist golf architect ever) can use in your respective design work?

Perhaps, with the Lama's endorsement, you can corner the Gold Bond market in Tibet.

The Dalai Lama wore a red golf visor the entire time.....after lunch there was a panel and lecture on creativity....the panel was Richard Gere, Alice Walker( author of The Color Purple) and The Dalai Lama and interpreter....Alice Walker was pretty good....Gere had every gerbil in the auditorium running for cover...overall was interesting but seemed to go in circles....The Dalai Lama seemd to have a good attitude and did not seem full of himself...Gere ended by explaining to everyone the "burden" of the Lama and how he had responsibility to each one in the room, each one in the State, The country ,The World, our universe and every other universe....
So now I got all of that going for me which is nice ;D

Have ya'll see the "long hitting Lama" tee shirt..an outline of Ben Hogan swinging a club in a monk's robe....
