Brad-
Rarely do I see any courses in this area (West & North Texas, E. New Mexico) that overseed their bermudagrass fairways anymore. Most have bent greens while those in the southern reaches w/ hybrid bermudagrass greens do overseed the greens, but normally w/ poa trivialis, not perennial rye (it transitions out more readily in the spring). My home course- Abilene CC- has bent greens and only overseeds the par 3 tees- quite a bit of play all winter. We also do no.1 tee, mainly because it sits right outside the dining room window(s).
A number of the higher end daily fee courses in the DFW area do overseed their fairways competing for play- they obviously feel that it makes economic sense for them.
