Question on Atlantic GC

The USGA preview story on the upcoming Mid Am says that the Mid Amateur is the first USGA event to be hosted by Atlantic GC. Seems to me that I remember a Senior Am being held there sometime in the mid to late 90's. Am I delusional or did the USGA get this one wrong?

You are correct. According to www.usga.org, Cliff Cunningham won the US Senior Am at the Atlantic GC in 1997.

It's hard to believe they whiffed that one.

The course is vastly improved from what it was in 1997, so I'll be interested to hear the comments.

And, Atlantic typically enjoys a very good breeze.
