Not sure how many there may be.

A few come to mind, namely -

Muirfield
Ballyliffin (x2) - did the Old always?
Rosapenna OTM
Portstewart Strand - kinda nearly does
Trevose - kinda nearly does
Princes?

Any more?

A few have changed routings over the years.

Royal County Down
Castle Stuart

OTM didn't use to do that.

Probably have to differentiate between modern and old because there are quite a few modern links in Ireland that return (Waterville, Carne, Ballyliffin Glashedy to name three)...  Older courses in Ireland include Portmarnock, The Island, Royal County Down...

Incidentally, are we still scheduled to play this Wednesday?

Well, if it were an American club they might build a huge halfway house right behind 10 tee...with a covered breezeway for the short walk to the clubhouse.  :P

I like the ones that return at or near the 'house somewhere other than after nine holes. Royal St. David's 14th tee is 100 yards or so from the back patio of the clubhouse. It can be useful to gain a bit of liquid reinforcement before taking on the amazing loop of 14-18 through the dunes.

Pennard
Goswick
Great Yarmouth & Caister comes close (ie 10 returns to clubhouse I think)
Hillside
Fairhaven
St Annes Old Links
Southerness (9 isnt directly by the clubhouse but its not too far away)
Crail Craighead (not played it yet, does it count as links?)
Scotscraig
County Louth (aka Baltray)

So much for the typical "out and back" links!  ;D

Cheers,

James
2023 Highlights: Hollinwell, Brora, Parkstone, Cavendish, Hallamshire, Sandmoor, Moortown, Elie, Crail, St Andrews (Himalayas & Eden), Chantilly, M, Hardelot Les Pins, Alwoodley

Crail Craighead.....some of it was very much linksland but the upper bits on the front nine felt more agricultural.
The maintenance was such that it all played pretty fast and firm.

One of the downsides of Craighead is that none of it is close to the house, so it doesn't really fit.  I wouldn't call any of it Links, either.  Balcomie returns to the house at 13.
In July I will be riding two stages of this year's Tour de France route for charity, including Mont Ventoux for the William Wates Memorial Trust (https://rideleloop.org/the-charity/) which supports underprivileged young people.
