Ran,

OT, but while I am here, it seems that when I try to quote other posts, I get a green bar at the top of the screen saying "Loading" but the quote never loads.

Is it just me or do others have the same problem?

Jeff,

Same here.  I haven't been able to make any posts using IE, (loading....) but have been able to using Chrome.  Also, most avatars are not showing on my screens.

Also,

Why do the majority of the profile pix no longer appear?

Same problem here. Also the preview button goes to

Fetching preview ...

and never returns.

My avi stopped loading from the site it was hosted at. Now it wants to load an image from my computer, which is fine but it won't follow thru on the transfer. I have tried both a jpg and gif images.

Ahh, so I'm not the only one having problems with quotes and previewing.

Glad so many have replied to your test. By the way, Tiger is divorced. It's always good to have some Tiger news on page one. You may want to remeber that

Chromes, Pix tests, Quote Boxes, Avatars???

What the Hell is this place----some kind of cartoon studio? I though it was a discussion group on golf course architecture?

With two wags like John and Tom's last, it may not be a cartoon studio, but perhaps a cyber comedy club.  ;D

Seriously, I have never had so many log-in and freaky glitches on the various web DGs and blogs I go on, as have been happening lately.  I changed my virus protection program, and it is for crap, and has slowed down my PC by miles.  I just had to go out and buy a new laptop and get the router for wireless in the house, and it is a nightmare.  I'm really getting sick of all this techno garbage and having to learn new OS's every couple years.  They claim they are making it easier, but all I'm feeling is frustration and that it is harder and more complicated to run these things.

Good luck Ran.  I'm betting that the behind the scenes management of the website with communication to the host provider is becoming increasingly complex and time consuming.  NOt to mention all these outfits trying new and improved ways to pick your pocket, up fees and revenue sources.  I hope I'm wrong, but I'm thinking that a site as complex and greatly used as this one, must be difficult to manage.
