Arjun ain't no Dustin

Its sad when bleachers and grandstands become part of the architecture of the course.

Faced with a long uphill shot over some nasty bunkers, Arjun Atwal chose to hit a fairway metal/hybrid long so it would hit the grandstand and stop a few yards behind the green.  With free relief he was able to pitch on and win today.

That is knowing the course, the rules and the added architecture.
I get it, you are mad at the world because you are an adult caddie and few people take you seriously.

Excellent spellers usually lack any vision or common sense.

I know plenty of courses that are in the red, and they are killing it.

JC,

...and he had the guts to make the putt for the win (after the free read). Great way to use the rulebook. Props to him, especially with the Monday qualifying!
Best Played So Far This Season:
Crystal Downs CC (MI), The Bridge (NY), Canterbury GC (OH), Lakota Links (CO), Montauk Downs (NY), Sedge Valley (WI)

Not only the shot on #18, but he hit one dreadfully left on the par 5 coming down the stretch that likely would have been dead for a bogey if he didn't get a drop.  Too bad for Dustin they didn't have grandstands along the right side of the fairway where he missed.

Bet the grandstands would have been in a bunker. turning to Greensborough, if those stands were just a few yards farther back they would not have played like an easy backstop. The character of the 18th was really altered.
