Scott,

You are an animal. 225 for your second at the 10th? What tee did you play?

Played the course last year and enjoyed it -- will return again in a few weeks for a wider tour of the general area.

Scott -- thanks for the pics -- I really like the fisrt three holes -- really get the blood moving -- the blind tee shot at #1 is good -- ditto what you have at the 2nd.

Garland,

That was from the 566-yard blues.  As you know, it's well downhill, and it was also downwind (to the right).

I actually pulled the tee shot a little, it went up the 2nd mound left of the fairway (into the rough), then rolled back down and continued rolling to bottom of hill.  Had I not pulled it, the drive likely would have been longer:

2nd shot was straight downwind, and my 4-iron from there was too much (almost went through bunker):

No wind the day I played. Maybe wind would have helped the hole. Although I hit the tee shot about as well as I can (Mayhugh called me an animal at Sagebrush, so I borrowed the expression from him), I still had the boring fairway wood from fairway to center of fairway to set up the approach.
