The photos I took on my phone are probably not good enough for this thread, but the last new course I saw was The Lakes in Sydney.  I'd seen the course 25 years ago, but had not seen Michael Clayton's new work there.  It had some of the boldest greens I've seen anyone build in a long time.  Kudos to Mike for having the guts to do that on a championship course ... though he's not likely to build any TPC's here in America going in that direction  :)

Simple shot of RMW 17 greensite. I love how the green nestles within the elbow of the native vegetation, and how bunker edges are formalised and sharp at the green edge, yet the bleed into an indeterminate junction with the vegetation at the rear of the hazards. Balancing playability, with a great natural aesthetic. I also love how the green is bunkered on one side, leaving an expanse of short grass left. This appears a safe miss, but can often result in a need for the most delicate of short shots.

And two from Cape Wickham, on King Island.

A short approach to the par 5 9th.

And a view from the tee on the short par 3 11th hole.

Excepting the counties of East Anglia, where they're all stupid due to inbreeding.
