Anyone know anything about the new Gwest course on the Arab squillionaires estate next to Gleneagles? Hardly any pictures or info on line.

I don't know if this is up to date, but here are a couple of land photos from DMK's site.

I went to see the course with Paul Kimber during Open week, but I'm under a strict embargo not to write it up just yet - the developers are very cautious about publicity. I thought it was really terrific, and will cover it in detail as soon as I get permission!

Looks like a very nice piece of property, definitely "land fit for purpose."

Here is a newspaper article on the project from 2007, when the global economy was just a wee bit more buoyant than it is right now:

The development sounds like it may out-trump Trump.

I visited during construction last August... Looked like it could be good... Didn't realise it was off-limits to talk about it but refrain I will...

Ally - I think you can talk about it, they just don't want media coverage at the moment, so I had to promise I wouldn't do anything until a later date!

Adam,

Are you allowed to say when that might be ? I heard a while back that they had problems with Scottish Nature in that they wanted to transplant some heather from elsewhere and were told they couldn't. Don't know if thats true and don't know if you can comment but I look forward to you writing about it.

You can see a few of the holes from the A9 and I have to travel by twice a week I have often felt tempted to park the car and take a look.
