fast and firm - and a little sandy and dusty as well

guess the course - I can say it was the first time I have worn shorts for every round in the Republic and the North in 3 previous trips

some of the courses were in less than stellar condition - especially the greens at the new strand 9 at Rosapenna

Connemara was by far the best conditioned course - very smooth greens with tee boxes that were properly maintained

Great photographs Ted...

How did you rate the courses you played?... Was this your first time in the North-West?

Hi Ally

the photographs could only be considered good due to the great weather I had this trip - I have been to the northwest 2 times before and have had dry weather with little rain previously but never this hot and sunny (wore shorts everyday)

I really have loved all the courses but a few stand out ........    of course Royal Portrush is flawless in my opinion and my favourite course

after that I would say that Enniscrone, Carne, Rosses Point and maybe Portsalon are my favourites in the northwest

I did really enjoy Connemara on a breezy but sunny day and I really enjoy the scenery and vibe at Narin & Portnoo

Ted -

Very nice pictures.  Did you drive yourself?  How much driving was required?  I was in Ireland last summer but decided to skip the NW due to time constraints.  I want to get back up that way someday.
