Just a little background on Brown Deer, if I can trigger any braincells to work and remember something, anything!
It was built as a WPA project and part of the Milwaukee Park system in 1930s. The design was done by George Hansen, the county landscapist. It is considered a fun stop on the tour, and often the caddies and players bring their wives and kids to have picnics in the adjacent county park. While it is a short course and a birdie fest, it has a great finishing hole, par 5 with easy drive over creek but placement to set up second shot is critical. The go or no go is getting more easy of a decision to make with increased length of ball distance. But, the second is to an uphill green site very well guarded up right and front right of green by deep bunkers. The green is somewhat shallow, and many balls will wind up in back rough with steep downhill pitch-chip back onto green. It is a definite two shot swing hole when the heat is on. I think 18 is about 550 yards and there is very little room left to the back of back tee for extra yards. I think they might be able to get another 15 yards if they go all the way to the fence and road.

Getting a tee time is not fun with their automated phone system. If you are a Milwaukee resident you pay under $40, and non-res is about $75 now. It is a very enjoyable course and I'd recommend it to anyone. But save your appetite for dinner and the German food downtown at Mader's, Rausch's or John Ernst Resturants.
