I have had the opportunity to work with one of our shapers on parts of a few projects (Dismal, Bears Club, Bear Lakes). Its been a great learning experience so far. Ive been able to help build some holes, bunkers, float greens etc. As Im sure is the case with everyone, our office has been effected by the recent economy.

I did not have a role in Mayacama. I have been with Nicklaus for 4 years, so that was before my time.

The hole plays just under 400 yds from the tips. Anything left and short is trouble. The green has a bit of a false front, and you can easily suck it back off the green and down into the hollow if your short. You cant tell from the picture, but the green actually wraps around the hill on the right, and leaves the option for a partly blind pin (Probably could see the top of the flagstick)Very cool green complex. If i remember correctly, the green has a front pin and then rises up to a pinnable plateau at the back left and everything that is hidden in this photo drains off the back right of the green
You may not be able to tell from the photo, but the day i played the wind was whipping from left to right, so i had to start the ball over the traps and let it drift back. . scary shot. . .
