1. We've all got an idea of how these 6 are playing...

D.Johnson - 6
McDowell - 3
Woods - 1
Havret E
Els +1
Mickelson +1

2.  The Weather Forecast...

Cloudy/foggy until 2pm PDT, Sun emerges in latter portion of day
Wind W, WNW, WSW (same direction as most of the week) 12-16mph, gusts up to 20-24mph

3.  We don't know the precise set up and whether they'll make #4 short again, but if you've been watching, you can presume many of the Sunday pins...

What's the winning number, regardless of who will shoot it?

I say it is

-5 (279)

and I believe we will have a Monday playoff at that number.

What say you?

cheers

I think -3 or better will win outright.  -2 will be a playoff.

Given cool, overcast weather with what I think will be little wind through most of the day,  I think the US Open pressure will bring about a clear winner at about -4.

And I think Dustin Johnson will likely hang in there given the seeming slight chinks in everyone else's armor.

Woods wins at -5.  today.   Leads from 10th Tee.

Hopefully though, Johnson and McDowell playoff Monday after tying at  -4.

Which Phil will show today?  If the real Phil shows, add him to the playoff at -4.

Johnson -8.

Cloudy again so course is soft all day. He's long the course is very short according to a caddy i talked to who was out there this week.

Of course there is some pressure but he's playing great.

I going radical figuring Tiger's been laying in the weeds and will go so low today that it will cause the USGA to question their presentation melds. -14 after Tigers 58.

I'm guessing the course is going to be set up as hard as it can be (with maybe one tee moved up) and some very difficult pin positions.

I think -3 is at worse a play off.

-10 wins it. I will let you all do the math to figure who I think wins.

nice attempt. Unfortunately math was a pre-requisite for this exercise. I can't find anyone starting at -2 today where a 63 would result in a -10. Perhaps you meant 60 from Phil!
