Watching "feature group" coverage... Westwood is taking relief from unplayable in a bunker...

the voice is familiar.. as is the size of the man.... but no closeup....

I am pretty sure that was our man John VanderBorght!!!

Man, huge assigment he has following this group... Westwood, Els, Tiger....

Excellent!  He's had many moments of fame but this has to be among the coolest.

Does anyone know, is he following that group, or stationed on 18?  I read elsewhere he was a walking official for this and they'd get assigned each night as to what they get the next day... if so, hell of a draw he got!

He got his draw for the first two rounds ahead of time and posted it on the Who will be at Pebble thread. We all, except you, knew he would be with the premier group. Therefore, ho-hum event for us. ;)

EDIT Sorry he told us to check his blog for his schedule. You are excused. ;)

I am not exactly a constant reader of every thread in this forum, espeiccially those in which I have no interest whatsoever, as is the case for the one you mention given I shall not be anywhere near PB this week.  So it sure as hell was news to me.  But my apologies to you and others with no lives.

It was televised if you get DirecTV - it was on the "marquee group" channel.  Not sure if that translated to network coverage, but I am pretty sure it was too early for that.

It was also viewable online (which is where I saw it).

Who is doing the color commentary with Terry Gannon on the internet "feature group" broadcast. This guy has not shut up so far!

To answer my own question, it is Olin Browne. I hope ESPN has not contracted to pay him by the word. :)
