 ??? ;) :'(

Man love the brits and irish attitude about  course conditions, just bloody play!

Wish it was worse and maybe Tom Watson would have been in the top ten

Sure the greens aren't perfect but all the best players in the world can figure it out

Sure they can figure it out: miss, make.  Or miss miss make.  Great television.

The US OPEN has always  been a tough test ...today it is ....I'm ok with it sure the greens are nasty.....but we all knew that was coming after yesterday

one of my favorite days caddying at Pine Valley was when superintendent Dick Bator decided to make par 80 in the Crump qualifier one year   It was mind numbing hard that day, but the best player Jay Sigel led the field ....the championship flight broke at 85   yep 85 and it was so intersesting to see the course set up so tough.....the Open has always tried to identify the best player ,  would you rather have the LPGA putting tournaments nobody cares about

There some of the best players in the world so they should be able to cope with a little adversity. It seems to me that the more they are pampered to the more they complain.

Jon:

Stop with the inane statement that the pros are pampered -- the greens were inconsistent and all the hops / bumps and all assorted movements were present. The best players did cope with the adversity -- no doubt Open final round pressure also played a role.  Players missed putts because of the zany nature (I'm being gracious) in regards to the greens. Check out Ernie's putt on #15 !

Terry is spot on ...
