I am listening to (and occasionally watching) the coverage currently being offered on USOPEN.com.  They are exclusively following Mickleson, Harrington, & Yang.

Does anyone know the names of the announcers?

What a perfectly awful website.

They're using hole overheads from Bethpage Black.

Whomever is in charge of this website needs a serious lashing!

I can't believe the difference in the quality of the Masters site (also by IBM) and the US Open site.  The screen is taken up with pretty much everything other than play results!  The Playtracker function is nice but it's difficult to follow what's happening when you can only see the top 5 or 6 players without searching for their name.  Did they have a cricket player design this thing?

The more I watch the ESPN telecast the more I like the Masters.  I don't remember the ESPN telecast of the Masters featuring Chris Berman. As I recall it was Mike Tirico (I wonder who he pissed off because they sent him to Africa for soccer instead of Pebble Beach), Ian Baker Finch, and the CBS guys.  I'm sorry but Berman sucks.

I thought the design of the site was atrocious, but i thoroughly enjoyed the commentary by Olin Browne. His insight into how good players actually think around the golf course was extremely interesting and accurate, and he was quite witty at times as well. I wish he would become the broadcast announcer for NBC's airtime.
