I would never have guessed Palmer design. In my experience they are very formulaic. Most 18th holes seem to be a long par 4 with a lake down the second half of the whole with the green angled and rocks lining the lake. I can't tell you how many Palmer courses I've played that have that hole. Nice to see something different.

Looks like they are going to have two courses. This schematic doesn't seem to fit the picture above so maybe it's not the Palmer course. And while it isn't a lake on 18 it's still very similar to every 18th hole I've played on a Palmer course.

I would not have guessed Bill Coore, but would not have guessed Palmer, either.

Is the tee shot as tight as it looks, or does the topography hide a more generous fairway?

It is hole #1, not 18.

The fairway is more generous than it appears although I think it is a rather challenging opening shot.
The 2 back tees are from the angle in the photo. 3 other tees are more "straight down" the fairway.
