The ressurection of Lazarus
« on: June 08, 2010, 06:08:24 PM »
To all my good friends and members of GCA.

As you know I have been in hospital since may 9th, was out for a couple days, readmitted a day later and was out last Saturday, back in yesterday for a for a minor problem, and now hopefully home for good.

I cannot thank you all for the outpouring of  love, prayers, and wishes, that certainly worked. I had vowed to answer each message and card individually but found I did not have the strength to do so. Please forgive me.

Good ole Pat Mucci told me to swing a Medicus heavy club to get my golfing strength back..... swing it, I can hardly pick it up.

Best wishes to everyone,

Bob

There were a great many positive thoughts headed out your way, and apparently it worked!

Thanks for the good news, not enough of that these days......

On a further good note, Tiger Bernhardt is on the mend.

I hope both you guys are back on the course soon!

The best news I've heard this week!  I'm glad to hear you're doing better.

Which requires more strength - golf or getting back to dog walking?

Wonderful to hear you're on the upswing Bob---had me worried there for a while. Bob Crosby and I will be sure to at least give you a call this coming week even though it must seem like 10 Barnum and Bailey Circuses have come to your neck of the woods.

It's wonderful to hear from you and to know you're on the mend.   This place is not the same without your wit, elegance, and eloquence.

Fight on!!!

Laz... I mean Bob, welcome back!

Forget the Medicus (Pat gets a commission by the way  ;)) Just get out and hit the ball even if it only goes 20 yards... those will feel like the greatest 20 yards you ever hit a ball. Speaking from experience as a fellow "ressurected" one...

Bob,

Thanks for letting us know and all of us are extremely pleased that you are back.

I have thought about you of late while walking by black lab and know you will be relieved to get back to your yellow versions!

Let's modify Pat's instructions.

Pick up Medicus club. Set Medicus club down. Add repetitions each day until you can follow Pat's instructions, which I am sure you soon will be able to do.

Bob,

Thank goodness for Wikipedia otherwise I would have to contact my old Latin teacher Henry Bender (he's Googlable) for a translation of who Lazarus was.  :D

Enough of the Latin seminar, what do you think Tiger's chances are at Pebble Beach and St Andrew's? Is there anyone here who has played those two courses more?

Bob,     Great to have you back in the game! Proof of the power of prayer. As always I wish you well and I hope someday for a raincheck on our round together at the Shore.       Be good,  Jack

Let me know when you are ready to play again. I'm willing to come out of retirement for that game. I think it is my best chance of ever getting some of your money.

Cheers,
