A really neat par 5 finishing hole

The 18th at Minisceongo

A drive across a creek that bisects the fairway looks more daunting than it is, but, the view from the tee is pretty neat as the entire hole unfolds in front of you.

The fairway undulates from across the creek up to the green.

About 40-5- yards short of the green a huge bunker flanks the right side of the fairway, eventually wrapping all the way up to and around the back of the green.

Short and to the left of the green is a huge, deep "road hole" like bunker.

The green has a fair amount of undulation and slope.

The fairway narrows as you get closer to the green and a tree about 50 yards short and left of the green guards the left side.

It is a most enjoyable finishing hole, a terrific par 5.

The course has some of the neatest non-golf features I've ever seen.

Two immense stone towers, old water cisterns, can be found on the property along with a number or stone walls and a small stone walled cemetery.

Has anyone else played Minisceongo and if so, what are your thoughts on the 18th hole ?

Steve,

Thanks for the photo.

Unfortunately, it does not show the deep, front left, greenside bunker.

The view from the tee is very impressive.

I"m going to have to start taking a camera with me when I play other courses.

This hole is a great, really great risk reward hole.

The green can be reached in two, but, as you can see, the fairway narrows as you get close to the green, the right side bunker starts about 50 yards from the green and the front left bunker is really big and REALLY deep.

A great finishing hole.
