What's really something to say but true -- is how both Montclair (#2 + #4 nines) coupled with ECCC right down the street have a solid case to make as two of the ten best courses in NJ. Be interested in what others have to say on that front.

  I'm talking about the NJ State Am on this thread, and the architecture of holes of Montclair GC.  Please keep ratings/rankings in another area.  

Keith, thanks for your input on this thread.  It was nice to meet you the other day.  Thanks to your club for hosting the tournament.  I appreciate the opportunity for the public to come and look around and see the course and the play.

Hold the phone amigo -- the architecture of Montclair is being talked about -- I love the course but the issue often is how fast the greens can be when big time events are played there.

Montclair gets little attention from many for those coming to Jersey. The confusion w UMCC happens frequently.

For a short course -- the combination of Banks and Ross via #4 and #2 nines is truly impressive. Sorry to see Doak never included it with CG.
