Fort Lauderdale Course Recommendations (Edited)

Hey all--

So I'm heading down to Fort Lauderdale for a a few days at the beginning of June and I'm looking for some course recommendations.  I've only got one day to play -- although, it's a full day and I've got a rental car so anything within about an hour could work.  From what I've gathered looking back at old posts, there are some pretty good tracks within shouting distance, but I'm doing everything I can do avoid playing typical "Florida golf," as has been thoroughly described and ripped to shreds in recent threads.

I know there are a lot of fine courses within shouting distance, so any and all recommendations will be appreciated.  Thanks.

What's the course where Caddyshack was filmed?  Rolling Hills?  As I recall it, no palm trees, more of a Midwestern look.

And maybe Lacy Underalls is still hanging around!

Brett,
  A LOT of courses will be on there summer maintenance schedule of topdressing, aerifying, verticutting, etc....make sure to ask before making a tee time.

The West Palm Beach muni is a good choice and fun to play.  Bring your sand wedge.

Crandon Park is reasonably close to FLL, isn't it? 

You'd probably have fairly serious traffic if you timed it wrong, and I am not sure you can walk... if that's an issue.  On the other hand, it is Key Biscayne, and there's no houses on the course.

Best public golf I know if in the area are Colony West and Emerald Hills and I think you should be able to get access to Weston Hills which has two RTJ courses and they had played the Honda there a number of years ago.
